Rick Ross can now rest easy that he defeated 50 Cent in court.
50 Cent lawsuit against Rick Ross for using his “In Da Club” beat was tossed out by a federal judge this week, which means Rozay can now rap anything he wants over the beat, even another 50 Cent diss track. TMZ reported that Ross’ attorney, Leron Rogers, confirmed that a judge dismissed the case all entirely because 50 Cent does not own the copyright to the song. The rightful owner of the copyright is Shady/Aftermath Records, and they haven’t file any suit against Rozay.
Losing this suit left 50 Cent with little to no options of fighting Ross over the track that was released on the 2015 mixtape Renzel Remixes. The G-Unit rapper is feeling salty because Young Renzel diss him on the project following their long-standing beef. To even touch Rick Ross in court, he would have to ask Eminem and Dr. Dre to file a lawsuit against the Maybach Music Group rapper.
50 Cent and Rick Ross has been beefing for the past few years, and it only intensified when Fifty lost a lawsuit against Rozay’s baby mama where he had to pay her over $7 million for leaking her sex tape online.
