Did you know that even Alexa knows that Lil Wayne is the G.O.A.T?
The argument about Lil Wayne being the greatest of all time in hip-hop, was once again renewed when the Young Money rapper dropped his long-awaited new album Tha Carter V. Weezy tried to us out in the debate by posting a clip of himself asking Alexa to play a song from the G.O.A.T and just like the perfect virtual assistant from Amazon, Alexa played Wayne’s track “Dedicate.”
The short clip was filmed inside a skateboarding park and showcased Weezy pulling up to the virtual assistant sitting idly on the concrete slab. “Alexa, play the g.o.a.t,” Wayne said to which Alexa responded saying, “Dedicate” by Lil Wayne starting now on Amazon music. The clip could serve as a dope advertisement for both Alexa and Amazon Music. By the way, Weezy did give Amazon Music a shout-out in the caption.
Tha Carter V was released last week Friday after a lengthy delay that left some fans wondering if the project would ever see the light of day. Thankfully, Lil Wayne and his former mentor Birdman settled their differences for the good of his music at least. Both sides reached an undisclosed settlement earlier this year, and that paved the way for Carter V to be finally released.
It turns out that the settlement also saw Lil Wayne retaining 100% ownership of Young Money Records, the label that Drake and Nicki Minaj calls home.
