Rapper/singer Ty Dolla $ign was arrested in Atlanta on Wednesday for cocaine possession.
Ty Dolla $ign has some legal troubles on his hands following his arrest in Atlanta on Wednesday (September 5th). Police officers detained the rapper, whose real name is Tyrone William Griffin Jr. and six members of his entourage following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, AJC reported.
According to the police report, cops smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search was conducted, and a small quantity of marijuana and cocaine was found in the car that Ty Dolla $ign traveling in. A video showing cops cuffing the rapper and putting him in a squad car has since surfaced online.
Police officers have since released six persons that were traveling with Ty Dolla $ign without charging them. Griffin is currently held without bail in a Fulton County Jail and was charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of cocaine.
At the time of his arrest, he was heading to a show at Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood just south of Atlanta. He was billed to perform with G-Eazy, YBN Nahmir, and Lil Uzi Vert.
