Nicki Minaj is on the cover of Elle magazine ahead of the release of her new album Queen.
Nicki Minaj is less than two months away from dropping her new album Queen, a project she dubbed album of the year and her best project to date. Whether or not she will live up to the hype is not yet known, but you can’t deny that Nicki is already a legend in hip hop. But before we can get our hands on her next body of work, you can grab a copy of Elle Magazine to catch up on what’s going on in her circle.
In her spread, Nicki Minaj spoke about the upcoming album, her hiatus from music, and Meek Mill. Queen is the follow-up album to her 2014 LP The PinkPrint. So it’s been four years since her last album which is unlike her.
“I really think it’s gonna be the best album of the year,” Nicki Minaj said. “I went through a moment where I got to know myself again, and then I went through a moment where I got to know myself as the rapper again. And then I locked [myself] in the studio and I didn’t want to leave. Spiritually, I’ve experienced more growth in the last six months of my life, of my career, than I have in the last eight years.”
