Pusha T says his beef with Drake is officially over but he enjoyed feeding his base.
The G.O.O.D. Music rapper gets candid about the beef with Drake during an interview with GQ where he revealed for the first time that the feud is officially squashed. Pusha T says in the interview that he is not buying J Prince talk of Drake having a diss track that would end his and Kanye West career. In his opinion, Drizzy would’ve released the song as long as it would be beneficial to him regardless of the content.
Last week, J Prince said in an interview that he asked Drake to end the beef and not respond to Pusha T’s infamous diss track “The Story Of Adidon.” The Houston hip hop label exec says he heard the Toronto rapper’s response and believed that it would’ve caused great pain for Kanye West and his family.
Pusha T stops just short of calling Drake and his people, Lil Wayne and Noah “40” Shebib, scared. “I just want to say that they’re thinking,” the Daytona rapper said. “They’re doing what’s best for them.” In his diss track, King Push took a lot of shots not just at Drake, but also his family and close friend and producer Noah “40” Shebib who is battling multiple sclerosis. He received a lot of flack for that jab on social media but he didn’t care.
Pusha T says all this sympathy towards Drake and his people makes the beef not fun anymore. In the end, the “Infrared” rapper says the beef is now dead and he is now going back to making regular music. “I’m ready to be back to the music for real,” he said. “Just feeding my base, that’s it. That’s the most important thing to me at all times.”
Well, it was fun while it last and Drake seems to take the L in this one according to social media.
