Shenseea debut her first dancehall pop single “Love I Got For U” last weekend and it’s paying off.
Last month, the “Loodi” deejay told us that she is plotting a career expansion into pop music as she looks to push her brand internationally. Her first pop record is “Love I Got For U” a track produced by Florida based imprint Unified Pacific Entertainment. She shot a music video for the single in Miami last month to accompany the single and, well, she is getting two thumbs up for it.
Shenseea and her management, Romeich Entertainment, says this year they will be pushing her career international into the pop market. “By next year I want to be international, and when I say that, I don’t mean just as a dancehall artiste, but an international pop star who incorporates the dancehall culture and my accent while majoring in pop music, because that is my first love,” she told Urban Islandz.
The Jay Will-directed cut features Shenseea and her girls getting into a boat and heads out to sea with lots of refreshment in tow. One clip features the dancehall diva in her bikini sitting poolside while four banging females dance to the beat in the background.
The video already clocks over 200K views on Vevo in the first week of release with over 12K thumbs ups.
