Vybz Kartel debuts his new single “Miss Your Call (Euphoria Remix).”
The original version of the single was released earlier this year as a bit of a dedication to his baby mama “Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson. “Wa a gwaan Shorty, Am so sorry, say mi miss your call, And I promise you, that I’ll always be there, I don’t want to miss a thing, I can’t get enough of your life,” Kartel sings over a techno beat produced by South Trade Records and High Stakes Records.
Vybz Kartel already has his fans on high alert for five new singles coming this month, but it’s a preview of his new single “One Box” that is stirring up some controversies. Some dancehall fans think that the single is promoting domestic violence against women. But it’s still too early to make a solid judgment with only a short snippet of the song released. The full version of the song will be released in January.
Kartel, who is currently in prison for murder, is awaiting his appeal trial in July next year, after being pushed back from February. The dancehall star maintained his innocence and is confident that the appeal court will vindicate him.
