Vybz Kartel Dropping A New Album Before His Appeal Trial

Vybz Kartel team are hard at work on his new album which will be release before his appeal trial in February next year.

Sources inside his camp confirmed the project with Urban Islandz a few weeks ago, and now we’re told that the LP could arrive as early as this summer. “We are pushing for a summer release but at the very least it will be ready before the appeal which is less that a year from now,” sources told us. “This project is special because it could be his last project before knowing his fate whether or not he will be freed or spend the rest of his life in prison.”

Despite a small setback due to an investigation of him recording music in prison, Vybz Kartel has released a handful of new music since the start of the year and is showing no signs of slowing down. There is still an abundance of unreleased music in his arsenal and producers that he have worked with prior to him going to prison are mastering and releasing them ever so often. The last major project released by Kartel was his 2016 album King of the Dancehall.

Vybz Kartel appeal trial date is set for February 19, 2018, and his legal team is in high gear preparing for their biggest legal showdown yet.
