Kanye West is back. After unveiling his Yeezy Season 5 collection at the New York Fashion Week on Wednesday Pusha T announced that he is working on a new album.
The G.O.O.D. Music President confirmed the news during an interview with 93.9’s The Fam in the Morning. He reveals that it’s not just Kanye who is working on a new album because Teyana Taylor is also cooking up something new. “Ye is working on a new album,” Pusha T said. “Teyana Taylor is working on a new album, yeah man, she is putting together now and I think she was in Miami for a little while putting it together.”
Been a wile since we’ve heard from Teyana so this is exciting news coming from her camp. The last album Kanye West dropped was the Life of Pablo in February last year and he promised that three more albums would be coming last year but that never happened. A brief hospitalization in in the fall last year also derailed his plans of dropping a new project before the end of the year.
G.O.O.D. Music has been having a great year with Big Sean new album I Decided debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. It seems the imprint headed by Ye and King Push has some major plans for this year. Last year Kanye also announced that his next album will title Turbo Grafx 16, but since its 2017 now perhaps he will change the 16 to 17 and work with the rest of the title. Don’t count on it since he has a habit of frequently changing his album titles up until the last minute of the project release. Last we hear Ye installed a brand new studio in his new mansion in L.A. so there is a good chance he is sitting on a ton of new music.
