Lupe Fiasco Going After J. Cole, Ignite Beef With “N.E.R.D. Diss Record

Lupe Fiasco is perhaps the only rapper right now who is going after J. Cole with a new diss record “N.E.R.D.” The track is a response to Cole’s “Everybody Dies” single released two weeks ago and Lupe recorded his banger on the same beat.

Last week Wale released a track “Groundhog” which he touted as a response to Cole’s “False Prophets” but not a diss track. In fact the two rappers seems to be friends even after the MMG rapper dropped the new track. Unlike Wale, Lupe Fiasco took some direct shots at the Roc Nation emcee. Let’s dissect some of the lyrics.

“Too many best rappers, not enough best rhymes tho / Guess I’m delusional, used to doing it all the time so / Maybe I’m just jaded, out of touch and unrelated / Unable to connect greatness based on the person who makes it / Or maybe I just hate it / And that would make me hater / Maybe it is great but that don’t mean it’s greater,” Fiasco raps.

J. Cole just released his new album “4 Your Eyez Only” so perhaps Lupe is making references to the reaction from fans how good the project is. Some fans are saying that he is just hating on the North Carolina rapper, but he doesn’t care. Listen to “N.E.R.D.” below.

J. Cole seems to take a jab at Kanye West on his previously released single “False Prophets” and Lupe Fiasco has been friends with Ye for a long time. So perhaps he is just defending his G.O.O.D. Music bredren or maybe he simply just don’t like Cole’s music.

The Chicago rapper is getting ready to hist the road for his upcoming tour with shows in Cleveland and Denver.
