Mr. Vegas made good on his promise to become a gospel artist during his performance at the Houston Jerk Fest.
Last month Mr. Vegas announced that he would be hanging up his dancehall mic and pick up gospel.
Party goers at the annual Houston festival were happy to have their souls anointed with some gospel music from the International deejay. He made his way on stage with his gospel hit song “I Am Blessed”. While gospel music is now Vegas genre of music, he also performed his hits “Tek Weh Yuh Self” and “Heads High”. These tunes can be considered motivational dancehall tunes. “The love and the response I received from the audience at the Houston Jerk Fest was overwhelming. I’ve turned over a new page in my life, and I am happy that my fans are giving me their love and support on this new and exciting journey” said Vegas.
