Sizzla Kalonji will be going on tour in the U.S. after getting back his visa.
It’s been almost a decade since Sizzla has performed in the United States due to his visa woes. He was among a handful of dancehall artists without a U.S. visa but most of them has since have their work permit reinstated including Aidonia, Elephant Man, and Beenie Man.
“Today I give thanks. Thanks for life, for family, for love, for Jah, for earth, for Africa, for Jamaica and the Caribbean,” Sizzla wrote on his IG page. “Thank you for the opportunity to spread the message of reggae music to the world. America Sizzla is coming to give you some ital vibrations. It’s been 8 years since I saw you beautiful people. Let’s make it special”
Sizzla also warned promoters to be careful of scammers and should only make bookings through authorized booking agents.
“Please don’t get scammed by false booking agents and promotors. Link sizzlakalonjibookings@gmail.com for your requests,” he said.
Sizzla will be performing at the Reggae On The River festival in California on August 4-7.
