50 Cent is suing Rick Ross and now Rozay wants a judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
The ongoing beef between the two rappers is far from over. 50 Cent is suing Rozay for $2 million for using his classic hit “In Da Club” on his latest mixtape Renzel Remixes.
On March 28, Rick Ross responded to the lawsuit saying that he want the case dismissed. The Jasmine Brand reported that Ross legal team is arguing that 50 Cent’s lawsuit is in retribution to the $5 million lawsuit that 50 Cent lost against Ross’ baby mama last year.
50 Cent famous lost the multi-million dollar lawsuit just before filing for bankruptcy. Ross baby mama Lastonia Leviston was awarded $5 million plus an additional $2 million for punitive damages for the release of the sex tape.
Rick Ross also added that he never make any money off the mixtape because he released the project for free. Rozay legal team also noted that 50 Cent does not own the copyrights to the beat for “In Da Club” and therefore cannot claim damages.
50 is arguing that Ross used his trademark name in the song to help promote his Black Market.
Something tells us that this ongoing legal battle is far from over.
