Jah Cure was arrested in Trinidad yesterday for owing a promoter in the Caribbean island money.
The reggae crooner was in T&T to perform at a concert at the O2 Park in Chaguaramas in Port of Spain but was hauled before the courts shortly after his performance ended.
A local promoter filed court docs claiming that the 36-year-old singer, born Siccature Alcock, took TT$83,000 for a performance but never showed up. Jah Cure ended up paying US$6000 in court and promised to pay the balance on Monday.
Over the summer another reggae artist, Busy Signal, was arrested in Trinidad for owing a promoter money. The dancehall deejay has since settled the case with said promoter.
