Rumor Control: Lil Wayne Is Not In A Coma, Not Dead, Not Critical

Lil Wayne and his people has stepped forward to clear up a breaking news rumor claiming he is hospitalized and in a medical induced coma after suffering multiple seizures.

TMZ first broke the story today saying the YMCMB rapper is in ICU in critical condition after another seizure.

This is what TMZ wrote:

Wayne was rushed to the hospital again, but this time he did not stabilize. He was taken to ICU, where he was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably.

We’re told Wayne is currently “unstable,” and has been placed in an induced coma. He is breathing through tubes.

The site also claims that doctors found high volumes of codeine in Lil Wayne’s system.

Despite the report, Lil Wayne sent out a tweet on Twitter saying he is okay.

“I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love,” Lil Wayne tweeted.

Cash Money executives Mack Maine and Birdman also refutes TMZ claims via their Twitter account.

“My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta…be home soon.YMCMB,” Birdman tweeted.

Mack Maine sent out a series of tweets directly to TMZ.

We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe…that’s false!!

Despite Lil Wayne people’s claims, TMZ says sources inside the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles told them the rapper is in critical but stable condition.
