New Vybz Kartel Documentary Coming In 2013

Vybz Kartel maybe locked away in a cell but that will not stop him from keeping his career relevant.

The self proclaim Worl’Boss has released a slew of singles last year and this year look even bigger.

A close associate of the “Dancehall Hero” exclusively told UrbanIslandz.com that a new official Vybz Kartel Documentary is coming in 2013.

The source says Vybz Kartel is in talks with a production company to produce the documentary that will chronicle his life from birth to his rise to dancehall super stardom.

“Fans can look out for Vybz Kartel documentary by year end,” the source said. “Vybz feel now is the right time for his documentary because of his currently legal troubles and as we all see how the justice system is treating him unfair.”

“For a while now several well known filmmakers have been courting him for rights to his documentary,” the source added. “He finally decided to ink a deal with one of them. Vybz is a legend in dancehall and its only fitting that his life and career be documented in a film.”

Vybz Kartel is currently behind bars awaiting trial on two murder charges. His case has been postponed several times since last year.

Jamaica Security Minister Blames Vybz Kartel For High Crime Rate

Vybz Kartel also received some bad press earlier this month when Jamaica’s Security Minister, Peter Bunting, accused him of inciting violence in the island through his explicit music.

  4. I will never understand how a man ashamed of his blackness became a legend in Jamaica, the land of Black Consciousness and pride. Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley, Prince Emmanuel and the whole ma$$ive must be turning in their graves when they look at the island today.
