TLC Announced New Album, Reunion Tour

The two remaining members of one of Hip Hop’s most celebrated group TLC plots a reunion tour and a new album. Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas made the announcement on the 10th anniversary of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes death.

The group will embark on a major U.S. tour starting later this year. A rep for the R&B trio tells TMZ that they will bring back Left Eye for the tour, which is their first in a decade. According to the rep, the group will fuse Left Eye’s into their live performances similar to what Dr. Dre did with Tupac Shakur at Coachella.

Left Eye passed away a decade ago on April 25, 2002 in a car accident in Honduras. T-Boz and Chilli says they are still hurting from her untimely passing.

“The word anniversary means a celebration. For us her death will never be a celebration, it’s still something that hurts,” said T-Boz

“Lisa is our sister. You never get over losing a family member. We love her and we miss her and that isn’t ever going to change,” Chilli added.

The two surviving members of TLC are working with VH1 on a made-for-TV movie series inspired by their story as well as a new album.

“We’ll have new music right after the movie drops,” Chilli said. “We have everybody that was there with us from the beginning on board.”
