Rihanna, Portia Simpson Miller Name On Time 100 Most Influential People

After topping the charts with more than 10 number one singles, Rihanna is on top of the world and living her dream.

The Barbadian pop star was named one of TIME magazine 100 most influential people in the world. Jamaica Prime Minister Portia Simpson and Rihanna and are the only two Caribbean national on the list.

Simpson Miller is Jamaica’s first female Prime Minister. She led the People’s National Party to victory in parliamentary elections last December and later won last month’s local government elections.

Rihanna and Simpson Miller shares the list with several world leaders, activists, researchers, reformers, artistes, and politicians including President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Adele, Chelsea Handler, and many more

Yesterday Rihanna took to Twitter to thank her 17 million strong followers.

“We made TIME 100 most influential people’s list! Thank you Navi, TIME mag, and Stella for an exquisite write up!” RiRi tweeted.

To celebrate Rihanna performed at last nights eighth annual TIME 100 Gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.
