Vybz Kartel attorneys has stepped forward to downplay rumors that they embattled dancehall star axed them.
Rumors surfaced earlier today claiming that the deejay gave his legal team marching orders due to lack of performance. However, the “Cake Soap” deejay lead attorneys Christian Tavares-Finson and Michael Dean rubbished those claims in a brief interview with the Observer.
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is facing trial on two counts of murder and charges of conspiracy to murder, ganja possession and illegal possession of firearm.
The charges are in relation to the shooting death of businessman/promoter Barrington “Bossie” Burton and Clive “Lizard” Williams.
Vybz Kartel and co-accused Kiro Jones, Shawn Storm, Calvin Haye and two other men are accused of killing the men.
The Portmore Empire boss has been denied bail twice and returns to court on December 2nd.
