Dancehall star Vybz Kartel has stepped forward to address the recent ban on his music in Guyana.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was banned indefinitely from Guyana airwaves by the National Communication Network NCN. Spokesman for the NCN, Martin Goolsarran, said the “Dancehall Hero” deejay was banned because his music has “nothing positive” to offer the Guyanese entertainment industry.
In typical Vybz Kartel responses, the deejay said he “care zero about them” and he “won’t be visiting Guyana ever.”
“It’s interesting, especially since that same radio station did a concert with me based on the fact that, and I quote, “The Guyana people don’t want to see nobody but you.” Unfortunately, I didn’t attend the show and that is the reason why the ban on my music was imposed. With that being said, I care zero about them and their ban because I won’t be visiting Guyana ever.”
According to Vybz Kartel, he would rather tour Irag than go back to Guyana.
“I refused to go there before the ban was imposed so that ban wasn’t necessary. I banned myself. Big up the Guyanese Gaza fans but I would sooner tour Iraq than go to Guyana.”
Do you agree with Vybz Kartel’s statement.
