Kanye West and controvery never flies far from each other. Seems now Ye and Bush got beef.
Former US President George W. Bush has spoken against Kanye West calling him “disgusting” after the rapper called him a racist because of the way he handled the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
The former president talked about the 2005 incident where the ‘Power’ rapper said: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
Bush was upset that the rapper had made the claims after the hurricane had devastated New Orleans, Louisiana.
“He called me a racist. I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled the business. But, it’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.'”
He also added: “I resent it, it’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency. My record was strong I felt when it came to race relations and giving people a chance.”
