VP Records reggae singer Duane Stephenson sophomore album Black Gold is now in stores.
The 14-track LP droped last Tuesday the same day as Buju Banton “Before The Dawn.” The album sees Stephenson working with legendary reggae sax player Dean Fraser, who provided the majority of production on BLACK GOLD.
BLACK GOLD encompasses Stephenson’s growth mentally, emotionally, and musically. The lead off track “Nah Play” is set to an upbeat one drop riddim expressing the volatile environment in his hometown of Jamaica. Not afraid to convey how he feels about global affairs he also communicates thoughts and desires of his heart on tracks like “Fire In Me” and “More.”
Urban Islandz will post a review of the album soon.
