Miss Jamaica and miss Jamaica universe Yendi Phillips, is Miss Universe runner up! She is the first contestant from Jamaica to make it that far in the competition, making history for her country.
She is 24 years old, born on September 8, 1985 in Kingston Jamaica. She is absolutely stunning with long dark hair and dark eyes. She has been in several pageants and took home the 2007 crown for Miss Jamaica World. As for her measurements she stands at five foot ten and has a slim body at 34 – 25 – 36.
Sadly, her mother died when she was young, and she says that is where her drive and confidence to win came from.
She is well educated holding a bachelor’s degree of fine arts from the State University of New York at Brockport and a Master’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Management.
She was the host of Digicel Rising stars and also modeled in South Africa for six months, doing print, commercial and runway modeling. She was featured in Pepsi’s international ‘Refresh’ TV ad campaign, and then went on to tackle the Miss Universe pageant. She is the third woman to hold both Miss Jamaica World and Miss Jamaica Universe titles, and was voted the 5th sexiest black woman alive by dimewars.com.
