A male juror in Vybz Kartel murder trial was yesterday arrested moments after the verdict was read out in the Home Circuit court in downtown Kingston.
According to reports, the juror, name withheld, allegedly tried to bribe the jury foreman with $500,000.
However, the foreman rejected the offer and made a report to presiding Judge Justice Lennox Campbell.
Yesterday afternoon the judge summoned attorneys representing the prosecution and the defense, as well as, the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP Paula Llewellyn, to his chamber to discuss the issue.
All parties involved agreed to let the trial continue before addressing the issue.
The accused juror will be facing the court today.
If he is found guilty, he could be sentence to up to three years in prison.
