Snoop Lion, formerly Snoop Dogg, has stepped forward to respond to recent claims by the Rastafari Millennium Council that he is a fraud.
Members of the council, including reggae legend Bunny Wailer, issued a 7-page document bashing Snoop Lion spiritual transformation into Rasta/Reggae. The group of Rastafarians also threatened Snoop Lion with a lawsuit.

But the West Coast rapper turn reggae star is not phased by the threats. While appearing on BET 106 & Park, Snoop says he had anticipated the negativity surrounding his new way of life.
“Anything you do in life you’re going to have negativity, you’re going to have people putting you down and saying things to dissuade what your opinion is,” Snoop Lion told host Bow Wow.
“Am a positive individual, I know what am here to do what am suppose to do, so am going to continue to push forward, and ain’t nobody going to stop me,” Snoop added.
Snoop Lion also opened up about his new name, switching to reggae, becoming a Rastafarian, and spending time in Jamaica.
