Nicki Minaj and Beenie Man collaborative single “Gun Shot” is currently doing well across the Caribbean.
A rep for the Young Money raptress told Urban Islandz that the single began to take shape after the launch of her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
“It is no surprise “Gun Shot” is doing well in the islands, given Nicki and Beenie Man island background,” the rep said. “After the album launch several fans tweeted about the single, expressing their liking. Nicki Minaj was a big fan of Beenie long before she became a rap star, so a collaboration was almost inevitable.”
Nicki Minaj also shout out Beenie Man on her Twitter page earlier today.
“NP: Beenie Man – Big up and trust,” Nicki tweeted.
Nicki Minaj is gearing up to kick off the European leg of her Pink Friday tour on June 8 in Stockholm Sweden.
