Kanye West released the music video for his song “Follow God” on Friday, and the Christian rapper united with his dad for the fun visuals.
The song “Follow God” is a relatively short track that features Kanye, spitting the same enticing flow throughout the whole song. Many fans fell in love with the track from the “Jesus Is King” album for its quotable lyrics and overall groovy sound. “This is like a movie but it’s really very life-like / Every single night, right? / Every single fight, right? / I was looking at the Gram and I don’t even like likes / I was screaming at my dad, he told me it ain’t Christ-like,” Kanye raps.
The song only has an intro, one 24-bar verse, and an outro, but it was certainly enough to add some new language to the great social media vernacular. Fans have been using the term “Christ-like” in different contexts to suit their online persona. Who would’ve thought such a simple saying would incite a trend?
In the music video, Kanye shares the screen with his dad as they tour the open fields in Cody, Wyoming cruising through the snow in a giant 4-wheeler. The end of the video gave a little insight on how the video came to be. Check out Kanye’s music video for “Follow God” now. His dance moves are giving me vibes.
