Former Portmore Empire artiste Lisa Hyper has been attracting some regional and international attention with her recent single “Girls Night Out.” The song that Lisa has dubbed the woman’s anthem was produced by VybzKartelMuzik has been getting good reviews online, and fans everywhere have been giving the track the modern day stamp of approval with the fire emoji. One fan wrote, “This one shot it sounds like a come bk song.” That might just be what the Gaza artiste has in mind.
During an interview with the STAR, Lisa Hyper talked about the song’s niche and the music video being highly requested by fans. “The reception has been great, pretty much what Vybz Kartel, my team, my friends and I expected because [there] aren’t really any ‘party’ songs for the females that’s clean and soothing to the ears but still bad. To do the video was a must, but to have the fans asking for it, you know it’s a banger,” Hyper said.
Lisa also said she’s been getting a lot of love and rotation worldwide for both “Girls Night Out” and her latest new single “Mission Impossible” which he has put a lot of promotion behind. Her latest song was produced by Shabdon Records on the Sexperience Riddim. The comment section for the track’s official audio on Youtube is brimming with the fire emoji as well with one fan citing, “Mumma u song gaaaaaaaan wid di riddim yah #1.”
Lisa Hyper has had a long and rocky career in dancehall. A lot of controversy followed the deejay in her early career years and she never quite locked down that grand solo hit. Now that she is staging a comeback who knows what the experienced dancehall deejay will come up with.
