Lizzo is claiming racist following an incident with a security guard at Summerfest.
R&B singer Lizzo was among the headlining acts at yesterday’s Summerfest music festival in Milwaukee. While she enjoyed the performance, she is also fuming over an incident involving her team and a security officer inside the venue. The “Truth Hurts” singer shared her experience on Twitter and Summerfest organizers have since responded saying that they’ve launched a full investigation.
“That was the best show ever but I feel like I can’t even celebrate cuz RACISM don’t matter if you a headliner…. SMH @Summerfest please send footage,” she tweeted before adding, “Tonight was beautiful. You are beautiful. But the struggle ain’t over. Racism and bigotry don’t care if you’re a headliner. Thank you @summerfest. We will be filing a complaint against that bigoted “security” guard and I hope you’ll be cooperative in seeking justice.”
