Cardi B is at it again with seemingly another big hit. Her song press is a marvel to the ear, and when coupled with a video, it gets way better. The clip is one of the most cinematic music videos I’ve seen in a while. Bardi uses her contagious attitude in the visual, the attitude her fans have grown to love her for over the years. Nudity and violence are themes in the video, and the “Press” rapper shows her bravery and charisma all throughout.
With Nicki Minaj stepping out big with “Megatron” this response is just what the doctor ordered. “Megatron” is currently number one on the iTunes hip hop charts, can Cardi’s “Press” dethrone “Megatron?”
Music video aside, Cardi B currently has some real-life legal troubles following her indictment on assault charges related to her strip club beat down of two women who allegedly cheating with Offset. The Bronx rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges in court this week as she gets ready for trial.
Cardi B and Offset also performed at Sunday’s BET Awards where they performed their collaboration “Clout” off his new album, Father Of 4. She also performed “Press” in front of a large audience.
