Lil Kim comes through with a new dancehall inspired single “Nasty One.”
The New York rap legend is celebrating her 42nd birthday today, July 11, 2018, and she is marking the occasion with the release of the first single off her upcoming album. The track is titled “Nasty One” and it sampled Bad English classic single “When I See You Smile.” Jamaican artist Ghost did a dancehall version of the single in the mid-1990s. The track sees Lil Kim showing off her vocals rather than spitting hardcore bars.
“No other man makes me feel the way you do / I’m the nastiest when I’m with you / I’m a freak but only with my boo / You searched the world and now see that / Now you see you’ll never find a girl like me,” Kimmy Blanco sings.
“Even tho it’s my birthday, I wanted to celebrate with you guys by giving you my first single #NastyOne. Happy Birthday Beehive!” she tweeted this morning. Lil Kim is currently working on her new album due later this year and this new track “Nasty One” is a taste of what’s to come on the project.
