Shaggy and Wyclef Jean took the stage together last weekend at Stone Love Anniversary concert 2017.
The former Fugees frontman is currently in Jamaica for a big performance at the upcoming benefit concert Shaggy & Friends set for January 6 on the lawns of Jamaica House in Kingston. The show saw an all-star lineup including performances from I-Octane, Mavado, Sizzla, and Aidonia. During his set, Shaggy called out his surprised guest Wyclef who was met with loud cheers from the audience.
“Listen ya’ll looking at me as Wyclef the Haitian, but I was raised with the Jamaicans, you don’t believe because am a true MC,” Wyclef sings before spitting some lyrics in Spanish, French and Japanese. Clef is one of the most recognized names in music out of the Caribbean. He shot to fame in the 90s as one third of the Fugees which comprised of Lauryn Hill and Pras.
