Ashanti doesn’t mind dressing and acting like a stripper on stage but she doesn’t want to be treated as one.
The R&B diva was performing at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu on Saturday night when some folks at the front of the stage started the threw money at her. That infuriated Ashanti who stopped her set to blast those fans telling them she is not a stripper. “Am go need you to stop throwing that money ok am not a f***ing stripper,” she said while giving three male fans a lap dance on stage.
The guys who were making it rain on Ashanti were actual employees of a strip club close to the venue name Ballarrinas. The owner of that strip joint weighs in on Ashanti’s statement and he wasn’t too happy. “Ashanti ain’t that you in your background video throwing money?” he wrote on Instagra. “And aren’t you giving a lap dance ? Lmfao .. she ain’t say nothing to me but you gonna pick on the small white boy lol my Dj ? Damn. Now we know why #CARDIB the only one winning right now. #FACTS HAWAII YALL KNOW WTF is good”
