Dancehall heavy weights Mavado, I-Octane and Vybz Kartel are slatted to perform at tonights final of the Wray & Nephew-sponsored televised boxing series, The Contender.
The three top dancehall stars of last year will provide the evenings entertainment with Melloquene opening the show with the theme song “Champion.”
The Contender is one of Jamaican television most popular show this year. The show will climax tonight with a showdown between Devon ‘Joe Fraser’ Moncrieffe and Ricardo ‘The Surgeon’ Smith at the Constant Spring Football Field. One of them will walk away with the Wray & Nephew Contender title.
The winner will walk away with a JM$1 million prize.
