Beyonce leads the nominations for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards with 11 nods.
The pop megastar has a whopping 11 nominations going into the awards ceremony including Best Female Video for her single “Hold Up” and the most covetous award Video of the Year for “Formation.”
British powerhouse Adele is right behind Beyonce with 8 nominations including similar categories Best Female Video and Video of the Year for her mega hit single “Hello.”
Drake and Ariana Grande also showing strength with five nominations. Drizzy will also be competing in the Video of the Year category for “Hotline Bling” and “Best Hip-Hop Video for the same single.
Kanye West will also be at the 2016 MTV VMAs to shake things up with his controversial “Famous” video. The clip has been nominated for Video of the Year and Best Male Video.
The MTV VMAs will be aired on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 9 PM on MTV live from Madison Square Gardens in New York City.
