Tyga says that the late Tupac Shakur is his dad. Of course the Compton emcee did not mean biologically but he still received plenty criticism online for making the statement.
Earlier this month, Tyga posted a photo of himself and Tupac wearing a Duke basketball jersey. He captioned the photo “Dad.” Seems some hip hop fans thinks that the “Ayo” rapper is comparing himself to 2Pac musically and blasted him calling him things like “delusional” and “stupid.”

Tyga has since responded to the criticism when a TMZ paparazzi caught up with him at the LAX.
“My real father has been in jail all my life so I never really knew my real father,” the rapper said. “So Pac is like a father figure to me. I’m inspired by him as a student of the culture, especially my generation.”
“Pac taught me a lot more than my own father. Inspired me, Motivated Me, Listened without ever being there,” Tyga wrote on Twitter.

Tyga also responded on Twitter in a series of tweets including a letter that his real dad wrote to him and one that he wrote back to him in prison.
“Wanted to share this with my fans a letter from my real Father who has been serving a life Sentence,” he added on his Twitter timeline.
