Nicki Minaj says she is ready to collaborate with dancehall artist Queen Ladi Gangsta.

The Trinidadian rapper has never been shy about being a fan of the social media personality turn artist. Nicki Minaj is also a huge fan of dancehall music. Clearly, she also loves the antics that Queenie brings, including her drama with on-again-off-again boyfriend Dowey. On Monday, Nicki shared a post on her Instagram Story showcasing some Queenie-inspired bars as she threw shade at Dowey.

“One man to mi goodie ah nuh dewey. I son b–ch the weather ain’t never dewey. Alright… Mek we talk straight nuh? Coolie. bwoi ah get big head like ah Stewey,” she wrote. Queenie re-shared the post on her Instagram Story after learning that Nicki gave her a huge co-sign while exposing her bars to her over 220 million followers on Instagram. The move excites Queenie to record more bars while asking Nicki to jump on the track.

Perhaps her dream of collaborating with Nicki Minaj will come through because the “Barbie World” rapper responded by saying that she needs a few days to return with a proper song. “lol NOOOO wait queenie you quick wit it,” Nicki wrote. “I gotta send you a voice note so you can hear how I said it & a good GOOD beat to say di tingz dem pon. LOLLLL But see how you make lemonade out of lemons like the SAG QUEEN you are? If you wanna do a song you gotta do it right. LOVE YOU.”

“Queenie if you rlly wanna do a song give me a couple days to come up wit it,” Nicki added in another comment. “Queen Tingz this wasn’t meant for you to say it was just a likkle joke ting but now that I know, give me a lil time boo. Keep your head lifted high & put God alone first. Ah GOD MI SEH.”

The last time that Nicki Minaj hopped on a dancehall track was in 2022 when she did a remix of Skeng’s hit “Likkle Miss.” Last year, she tapped Skillibeng and Skeng for her song “Forward From Trini,” featured on her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, released on December 8, 2023. The track was well-received by both hip-hop and dancehall fans.
