Cardi B shed some light on the moment she found out that she was pregnant with her and Offset’s third child.
The couple is currently going through a bitter breakup after Cardi B filed for divorce earlier this year. Her divorce petition comes months after telling the world via her Instagram Live in December last year that she had been single for a while. Despite hooking back up with Offset over the holidays in December 2023, their relationship never recovered except for one thing, she later learned that she was pregnant.
Cardi B hid her pregnancy from her fans for several months but announced on the day of her divorce petition that she was expecting her third child and that Offset was the father. The former Migos rapper was also in the delivery room last month when she gave birth to a baby girl. The Bronx rapper shared that she was busy promoting her music when she found out that she is pregnant.
“This is around the time that I’m promoting, promoting, promoting the f**k out of ‘Enough,’” she shared on Instagram Live. “So I’m like, damn, I’m pregnant. But I’m not really thinking much of it. Me and my baby dad, we were on very bad terms. I still called him and we kind of laughed about it because it was like, ‘What the f**k? That s**t is so random.”
Cardi B gets very candid and descriptive in telling her fans all the details about when she thinks that she got pregnant and how Offset reacted when she told him. She shared that she first knew she was pregnant when she woke up one morning in March this year and realized that her mouth tasted like copper.
“We literally went to Colombia early in the year because he went with me when I got my surgery,” she said. “In 2024 I knew I only had sex on Valentine’s Day and before I got my surgery. It was around March 20 or March 16… It was around those days, right? I woke up one morning and my mouth tasted like copper… This only happened to me when I’m pregnant… So I was like, damn. I automatically knew that I was pregnant. When I found out it was a girl, I started crying even more because y’all know that I love raising girls.”
Cardi B said that she visited her doctor in New York and was later stunned to learn that she was seventeen weeks pregnant. Despite welcoming their third child together, Cardi and Offset are still heading for a divorce as their relationship hit rock bottom. The “Enough” rapper aired out her baby daddy last month as he accused her of being with another man while she was pregnant.
