Vybz Kartel is gearing up to release a new album, and sadly, “Exiled Pharoah” will have to wait.

Sources confirmed with Urban Islandz that Vybz Kartel’s new project has been renamed to “To Tanesha” and it is set for a January 10, 2020 release date. This album will follow other Vybz Kartel projects such as, “The Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto – Incarcerated but not Silenced (roots & culture), Kingston Story, Pon Di Gaza, Pon Di Gaza 2.0, Up 2 Di Time, Viking and King Of The Dancehall.

To Tanesha is packed with features as we get artistes such as his sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi, Jada Kingdom, Jesse Royal, Instagram model turned artiste Jodi Couture and Sikka Rhymes coming through. With such a dynamic mixture of talents, it seems Vybz Kartel is ensuring that there is something for everyone on the project.”Then You & Me,” a track showing Kartel’s softer side is also expected to find its way on the album.

In relation to Kartel’s softer side, the title of the album showcases his love for his wife, Tanesha Johnson, who also goes by “Shorty.” Kartel has never been shy to profess his love for her, and dedicating an album to her is truly marvelous.

The project should have approximately 10 tracks, and you can even grab the pre-order, which is now available on iTunes under the Hip Hop/Rap category. The Gazanation is always over the moon when new songs are released, so they should be on another planet with the release of the pending album.

Vybz Kartel is currently awaiting the verdict of his murder appeal case which has been before the courts for the past 18 months. The aced dancehall deejay isn’t allowing incarceration to stifle his career. Despite being in prison since 2011, Kartel remains one of the most popular artists in dancehall this decade.
