Meek Mill confirms he is currently working on a new Dreamchasers project.
It’s almost three years since Meek Mill released the latest installment in the Dreamchasers series, DC4. That mixtape was released in October 2016. Last year the Philly rapper released his first post-prison album, Championships, which arrived on November 30th. He received critical acclaim for the effort which features a guest appearance from his former foe, Drake. In 2017, he released another project titled “Wins & Losses.”
Meek Mill did an impromptu Q&A #askmeek with his fans on Twitter earlier this week where one fan asked him, “Yo meek what’s up with a new Dreamchasers tape this year? #askmeek.” The MMG rapper responded saying, “Working on it now.”
Meek didn’t give us a release date for when Dreamchasers 5 will arrive, but he hinted that it’s coming sometime this year. The Philly rhymer usually drops his projects in the fall time around October/November, so you can look forward DC5 later this year.
In the meantime, Meek Mill is currently touring while pushing his new album Championships. In between shows, he finds time to advocate for criminal justice reform, a new project he took on with the help of some famous friends including JAY-Z. Criminal justice reform is something near and dear to Meek’s heart given that he is a victim of an unfair justice system.
