Tyga links with Nicki Minaj for “Dip” remix, and now we have the visuals.
It appears that Tyga and Nicki Minaj have made amends following their infamous “Truffle Butter” fallout three years ago. The two rappers are former labelmates at Young Money, and although T-Raww has since moved on to G.O.O.D. Music, the two managed to find a way to work out their difference and make music again. The music video for “Drip” was inspired by Michael and Janet Jackson’s famous video “Scream.”
The cut was co-directed by Tyga and Arrad and features the two rappers wearing all-white before changing it up into puffer jackets. The Queen even donned an avant-garde outfit and headwear while some female dancers decked out in their Batman-themed costumes. Nicki Minaj shared some kind words for Tyga on her Queen radio show on Monday.
“Tyga and I coordinated f***ing well for this video, you would think we put the looks together,” the rap icon said. “All we did was put the colors together. The video is clean and fly as f***. I’ve shot huge big-budget videos before that didn’t look like that. He’s extremely f***ing talented.”
