Nas has broken his silence about Kelis accusations of abuse and their ongoing custody battle.
Nas seems like he has had enough of Kelis tarnishing his name and preventing him from seeing his son. In a blistering and lengthy piece on Instagram, the rap legend blast his ex-wife for continually trashing him in the media and most of all, her relentless efforts to prevent him from seeing his son. This war between the two is shaping up to be messier than it already is because I am sure Kelis will respond.
Nas said that he had to go through lawyers just to block her efforts to stop him from spending quality time with his son. If that wasn’t enough, he said that he had to get back into a relationship with her after they separated just so that he could see his son.
“There’s some seriously crazy things I won’t I disclose for our son’s sake,” he revealed. “Because you keep my son from me I’ve been going thru lawyers to stop you from this bullsh*t I’m tired of it. I’m tired of you painting a bad picture of me. I’ve been tired of it, but you never seem to get tired. I even had to be in a relationship with you AGAIN after we separated just so I could see my son & I AM JUST TIRED.”
Nas also accused Kelis of verbally assaulting both him and his daughter, and sometimes even physical violence towards him. He ended his lengthy letter by saying that he has a lot of damaging information that would hurt Kelis, but he is keeping quiet because of their son. This is a highly unusual move from the rap icon who is known to keep his personal life private, so there must be a lot of frustration bubbling.
