Tory Lanez has shared his reaction to a leaked video of him and Travis Scott fighting.
The video shows the “Butterfly” rapper confronting Lanez backstage inside his dressing room because of a previous statement the Toronto singer made about not sounding like someone he wrote a song for. The two came very close to trading blows. According to the Canadian singer, Scott is still his friend and they have put that episode behind them over a year ago. “Me and [Scott] been got past this irrelevant a*s argument a year and a half ago, that’s my dawg,” he wrote on Twitter.
Tory Lanez also addressed the controversy on his recent album, Memories Don’t Die. “Me and Travi$ Scott almost fought at the Mala Luna / We both agreed shortly after that it was music / We possibly could be doing that bigger than tryna ruin it / So my apologies, ni**a, just forgive me for doing it,” he raps on the single “Hate To Say.”
The song describes pretty much what happened in the video where the two had a very heated exchange almost coming to blows. “Are you apologizing or you want to shoot the fade my n****,” Tory Lanez could be heard telling Travis Scott. “Everybody can get out of here, every single person can get out of here, literally every person can get out of here and we can shoot the fade.”
