Eminem announced on Wednesday that he will co-headline the upcoming Governors Ball Music Festival.
The Music Fest is a three day event that kicks off on June 1st at the Randall’s Island Park, New York. The festival features more that 50 performers including Damian Jr. Gong Marley, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Dram, NERD and 6lack. The event emerged 8 years ago with the aim of being one of the most diverse music festival of the year. The annual show is promoted by Live Nation through a partnership with Insomniac.
This will be Eminem’s first major concert since releasing his album “Revival”. “Revival” is the rapper’s ninth album since his offset in 1990’s. In 1996 the rapper released his first album “infinite”, his best seller is the “Marshall Mathers LP”, which sold 1.76 million copies in its first week of distribution, breaking records for the fastest-selling hip hop album of all-time.

“Revival” includes collaborators such as Beyoncé, Phresher, Ed Sheran, Alicia Keys, Pink and Ambassador amongst more. Eminem is not only a rapper and a producer, but has also made his landmark in acting. He has appeared in movies such as 8 Mile (2002) and Funny People (2009). The lyrical rapper is one of the best selling artist in the 21st century.
