Bob Marley‘s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was completely destroyed by someone on Monday.
The reggae legend’s star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame was severely vandalized yesterday by someone with malicious intent. Walk of Fame spokeperson, Ana Martinez, broke the news on Twitter when she posted a photo of the damaged star. “Why would anyone do this to Bob Marley’s star? Help me understand. The Walk of Fame is a State registered Historic landmark! Disrespectful,” she wrote.
Martinez later added that the star will cost $3000 to be repaired and it will be done by the Hollywood Historic Trust. “It will cost nearly $3,000 to repair Bob Marley’s star on the Walk of Fame after it was found vandalized this week,” she wrote on Twitter. At the time of this publication, Bob Marley star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was being repaired and will be spanking new by weekend. “Bob Marley Walk of Fame star is being fixed by Star-maker Vince as we speak. Thanks to the Hollywood Historic Trust,” Ana added.
She also revealed that cops are investigating the incident and the perpetrator could be prosecutor. The damage to the star appeared to be made from a heavy object like a sledgehammer. Bob Marley died in May 1981 and has been widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the earth. The king of reggae was awarded a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame located at 7080 Hollywood Blvd.
