Dancehall star Vybz Kartel and pop singer Lorde is featured on a new single from Major Lazer.
The new Major Lazer track was previewed on Lazer Sound radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 this week and you can tell that it will be another dancehall banger. You can hear Lorde’s distinct vocals over a retro dancehall beat. She sampled Jamaican legend Yellowman’s 1984 classic “Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt.” Vybz Kartel’s vocals wasn’t in the preview, but you can see his name listed which means he will be on the full version of the single.
Kartel and Major Lazer are longtime collaborators and have in the past worked on some big hits. There was once a time on Twitter when Lorde told Diplo on Twitter that his penis was tiny, but it seems the two have put those differences aside and are now making music together. I guess we can all celebrate that moment when they make peace because now we have a potential banger from the two, and with Vybz Kartel in the mix, this will be epic.
Diplo firmed announced the single from all the way back in March of this year when he said that it’s coming but he just doesn’t know when. “I don’t know when it’s coming out, it’s pretty dope,” he said.
