Lil Wayne and T-Pain drop their new joint album T-Wayne and it’s available now to their fans for stream and download on SoundCloud.
No Lil Wayne is not becoming a SoundCloud rapper, but perhaps he and his collaborator T-Pain feels like they want to make this new project free for their fans on the music streaming platform. T-Pain hinted that the project is coming this week and even confirmed that the LP is comprised of songs that were recorded as far back as 2009. “This ain’t for y’all new ni**as,” he tweeted. “These the lost files from ’09 and I’m tired of em just sittin on my hard drive. #FreeC5.”
The album T-Wayne comprises of eight never before heard singles by Lil Wayne and T-Pain. You can find songs like the album opener “He Rap He Sang,” “Breathe,” “Snap Ya Fangas,” “Heavy Chevy,” and “Listen To Me.” Way back in 2008, Lil Wayne and T-Pain formed a duo and recorded a lot of materials together and needless to say that they should have continued putting out songs together given the shared quality of these tracks that were recorded from back then. Weezy ended up going to prison and after his released in 2010 they decided to scrap the project, that was a bad decision. The project finally sees the light of day and all hip hop fans from around that time will appreciate this music.
