Aidonia is giving back to his community in a big way by building a free public computer lab for kids who do not have access to the internet and computers.
The project is currently being undertaken by the 4th Genna deejay’s One Voice Foundation, a charitable organization that he launched in 2014. Under his foundation, Aidonia has also given full scholarships to some students from his alma mater Maxfield Primary school.
“The lab will aid in study and research and will cater to the have-nots,” Aidonia’s publicist, Raymond ‘Shadow’ Small, said. “We are living in the technological age, and some parents cannot afford computers so we want to fill that gap.” Small also refuted claims by critics who accused the dancehall deejay of launching the foundation just to rehabilitate his image so that he could get his U.S. visa reinstated.
Shadow also revealed that Aidonia is planning to expand the foundation across other parishes in Jamaica. The final location for the computer lab has not yet decided on, but we’re told that more details will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.
