Kid Ink enlist Jeremih and dancehall diva Spice for his new banger “Nasty.” The uptempo track was produced by Hitmaka and Smash David.
Spice says that the collaboration was the setup by Supa Dups who contacted her while she was in New York for a show.
Spice Promises A Spicy Dancehall Night At Sumfest
“I was in New York for a performance and I got a call from Supa Dupes from Black Chiney Sounds saying that they (Kid Ink and Jeremih) were interested in doing a track with me,” the dancehall diva said. “He (Supa Dupes) made the connection and I went to the studio in Manhattan, laid down my part of the track and they loved it and were ready to release it.”
She also said that she has been getting a lot of attention since the single drop last week.
“A lot of people have been calling me to say they love the song and to say congrats on such a huge collab,” she added. “Nasty is gonna be a summer banger, so big-ups to Jeremih and nuff love to Kid Ink for wanting to fuse their genre with dancehall and for having me on this single.”
The single is reminiscent of Spice 2011 smash hit single “So Mi Like It” which Busta Rhyemes provided a remix.
dancehall is on the rise, hear how di style dem a crossover like lebron. go tru spice
Good exposure for Spice but it sounds like it was thrown together.
Didn’t get to say much either….hmmm
They just put her on the track to lessen the blow . What I heard was exploitation. I bet Spice will be absent from the video.
