Bobby Shmurda will now have to spend a few more months in jail before his trial kicks off. The NY rapper appeared in court on Monday (May 9) where he learned that his trial date has been pushed back to September.
Shmurda has been behind bars for well over a year now and has been denied bail at least five times and also saw his trial date postponed a few times.

The “Hot Ni**a” rapper’s trial was set to begin on Thursday but XXL mag reported that the trial was pushed back to September 12 this year. Additional reports suggest that it was his attorney who requested for the date change.
Bobby Shmurda is faces several years in prison if convicted on conspiracy, gun and drug charges he has maintained his innocence and is accusing the justice system of plotting against him because of his race.
The rapper along with several members of his GS9 crew were arrested following a lengthy investigation into their criminal ring by the NYPD.
